Butterhill has been my favorite wedding cake bakery for years now and when I got engaged I knew instantly that my wedding cake would come from Butterhill. It’s a very small bakery but the cake is delicious and the staff is so helpful and friendly. I used to work in the industry and it is hands down the best. I am glad I work in the industry now because I get to eat their delicious cake all the time! :)

I order my cake well in advance and I recommend you do the same. You will need to put in your order at least 6 months in advance unless you want to wait another year. Butterhill doesn’t take reservations and because we were having a small wedding there were only a few cakes to go around. It was nice that we got our cake right away although I know some brides have waited over a year. Just call/email about 6 months ahead of time.

I made all my own decorations for the cake but Butterhill helped me design the inside of the cake. It was so pretty and unique! Our cake had 3 different flavored fillings and a different one in each tier. Our wedding colors were black, white and gold and the inside of the cake had a gold theme to match. It was so classy and the cake tasted amazing! Everyone loved it. We were even able to take some leftovers with us. Butterhill made a small cake for us to share the next day. It was so thoughtful! Their cakes are so on point.

Butterhill makes my wedding cakes, so I did not have a choice in this, but I was still excited to read reviews, and try out their cakes. I am glad I saved the top tier of my wedding cake, because it is delicious. I had the chocolate, with chocolate mousse, and raspberry filling. I also had the marble cake, with cookies and cream filling. (The marble cake is not as popular as the chocolate, but it is SO good. I love cookies and cream filling… I would choose it any day!) I was a little surprised that they do not make my wedding cake from scratch (like many many other wedding cakes), but it is still delicious, and beautiful. I will probably still choose Butterhill for my cakes, since they are known for being the best in the area. (Plus, I get a little trophy cake for a year!)
