I knew I didn’t want to do the traditional bride and groom cake. I love to bake, and am not particularly into frosting. I did want to have a cake that was both delicious and pretty. Enter Angie’s Heavenly Sweets. I ordered a brownie cake. Not only was it delicious, but they worked with me to keep it simple, and still beautiful. It was a great success. I have also ordered cupcakes, cheesecakes and more brownie cakes for other events. Each one is delicious, and I can order in large quantities. They are easy to work with, and their brownie cakes are so moist. They also use natural ingredients, and make their own maple syrup! They are more expensive than traditional wedding cake, but with the smaller amount needed, it works out much better. I recommend them highly!

I am not a sweets person, so it was hard to find a place to do my wedding cake. I went to several cake tastings, but they all had one thing in common…cost. I wanted something simple and affordable…I found it in Angie’s. Her cakes are moist and delicious, and her prices can’t be beat. I did two cakes…a 3 tier wedding cake, and a grooms cake (shark attack!). They were both great, and no one had to pay for them. No one! My husband and I had a great time at the tasting and we worked with Angela to come up with our flavors. We had banana cake with chocolate ganache and almond cake with raspberry and chocolate ganache. Both were absolutely delicious. My guests loved the cake…I didn’t have to pay for overkill on the number of pieces ordered, and the cake was on my table and not sitting in a box in the corner. 8 months later, it is the only cake I think about. Seriously…so good.

I loved working with Angela. I ordered a groom’s cake as a surprise for my husband. I sent her a picture of a bass boat we had seen on the internet, and she created a bass boat that was beyond my dreams. It was there and exactly like the picture. It was more than that though, it was all his. The text on the side said “The fish were jumping today. Sorry I couldn’t get your boat today.” It was just the sweetest thing and my husband was there with us and he just loved it. Angela also created our wedding cake. We wanted a pretty simple cake with white frosting and fresh strawberries. We were both happy with the way it looked but we were even happier with how it tasted. I don’t know what the cake was made of but it was fluffy and light and just the right amount of sweet. I loved it and so did everyone else. I have been to a few weddings where the cake was just there for looks only and I wanted to cry. This cake was about so much more than that. It was delicious and moist and the perfect amount of sweet. I loved that this woman who has many “real” jobs makes her money in baking and creates these beautiful cakes for people’s weddings. It’s like she is part artist and that is so awesome. We loved working with her and we loved the cakes she made for us. She is the sweetest person and I can’t wait to have our wedding cake again next year.

I went to Angie’s Heavenly Sweets after receiving an amazing recommendation from my friend, and I am so happy I decided to check them out. The owner, Abbey, was so helpful and fun to talk to! Abbey took her time to go over all the different flavors and fillings, and she explained to me the process of what goes on in her bakery and how she came to create these amazing flavors. She also gave me several different options to choose from, and after I chose a design (she showed me all the different designs she had done), she said she would send me a sample of what it would taste like. It was so easy to contact her and know that I would be taken care of!

Finally, the samples themselves! They were so amazing! It was so hard to pick what flavors we wanted, because they were all delicious and fresh! The cake was so moist, and the filling was also very yummy! We ended up going with two flavors - one that was chocolate cake with raspberry and nutella filling, and one that was yellow cake with strawberry and cream cheese filling. We were so excited to share them with our friends and family!

Abbey also offers to bake a new top layer for you on your anniversary, and she works with different companies to make sure your cake is fresh and your flowers are placed. She is very passionate about her business, and I am so glad I contacted her and she took care of me!
