When we got engaged, one of the things I wanted to do was to have a cake made by the famous Ripon Bakery. My parents and brother in law are from Ripon and love the bakery. I grew up eating their pies and have used the bakery many times since I was a little girl. Their cakes are not only delicious but also beautiful. We went and had a cake tasting which was so fun. They give you lots of flavors to try along with the fillings and with each one you can ask for extra flavoring to try. Once we picked the cake we were ready to place our order. The woman, Tena, who did the consultation with us took down all the information and it was done. The order was placed and it was ready to go. The cake was delivered on time and it was beautiful. It was a 5 tiered cake which had white piping and flowers all around. The whole cake was white cake with different flavors in the filling. It was so delicious that we did not have any left over pieces to take home.
I highly recommend the Ripon Bakery for not only cakes but also for their pies. The flavors are so delicious and the staff is super friendly.

We were referred to the Burgess Baking Company by our wedding venue, Sonoma Farm. The tasting was wonderful and the cakes were even tastier! We had sampled a few different vendors and these guys had the best tasting cakes!! We were able to custom create our own cake and they even made a cake inside a cake! We had a round cake that was our wedding cake and then we had a square sheet cake that was all whipped cream icing (Hershey’s chocolate sytle!) Both cakes were incredibly moist and flavorful and they were on their way!!! I called a couple of times to make sure they were on their way and each time they were assured the cakes were on their way! The cakes arrived about an hour and a half later and both were GORGEOUS! Thank you so much for creating our dream wedding cake and making it taste just as great as it looked!

Our wedding cake was so yummy! We did the almond cake with almond buttercream. I am not usually a fan of buttercream, but this was really good! We also had a sheet cake of the chocolate cake with fudge filling and chocolate buttercream. Both cakes had great flavor and were very moist. The cake was very moist even though we had a layer of buttermilk glaze on all of the tiers. The cake was so moist that when my husband and I cut the cake into quarters before our first dance, the cake already was starting to go soft.
When we went to make our cake selections, we were able to look through a huge book of their past wedding cakes for ideas. They have done a lot of wedding cakes for a lot of big name weddings and they are very talented! We were also able to have our wedding cake tasting at the bakery instead of having to request a sample and then pick it up later. They have the cake cut into small pieces so you can try different flavors. They also have different types of icing so you can choose a different flavor for each layer of the cake. Once you are finished, they put a piece of the cake on a piece of cardboard to wrap up the left over cake pieces.
When our cake was delivered it already was starting to melt and the top tier was starting to crack. The top tier was decorated with a flower block design in the different types of icing. They did a great job with the cake, but I am not sure how well it will hold up in a warm room. Overall, the cake was good and we were very happy with it, but it may have been a little more expensive than what we had wanted, but it was still a great cake.
