Betty makes the most delicious cake ever. She made my cake for my wedding and it was soooo good. I was on a budget so I requested a smaller 3 tiered cake and a sheet cake in the back. She said they don’t normally do the back cake but she would ask and if I was agreeable she would work with me on a price. I told her yes. It ended up being super reasonable. I also asked if she could make chocolate chips/praline filling. She said she wouldn’t put regular buttercream but she would experiment with chocolate and praline and get back to me. I got to try 2 samples during my tasting…yum. She ended up making this amazing chocolate cake with caramel and chocolate and praline filling. It was to die for. I told her I hoped it would be like this for all my cakes. She told me not to worry because she would keep experimenting with new recipes. So my cake turned out beautiful, it was exactly what I wanted and sooo delicious. Every flavor was amazing. I only had 2 slices left over. I got the white cake with 2 layers of raspberry buttercream and 1 layer of the chocolate/caramel/praline filling. Anyways…I love her cakes so much that I requested she make a cake for my sister’s baby shower. I told her I only wanted 2 flavors. Same deal…super reasonable and yummy cake. I was so excited to see it. I can’t wait for the baby to eat the cake. If you need a cake in the San Diego area…I highly recommend Betty and her cakes.

My husband and I are from Ohio, so when it came to our wedding, we didn’t know anything about the vendors in San Diego. One of our favorite things to do while we were planning a trip to San Diego for a weekend was go to one of the wedding expo’s and taste all of the cakes. It was so amazing and delicious. We met with a very nice lady named Betty at her home in La Jolla. She was wonderful and we loved her. She brought out all of her cakes and fillings, and we loved all of the flavors. Afterward, Betty and I emailed back and forth discussing what I wanted for a wedding cake, flavor, size, colors, decorations, etc. When it came to the wedding day, I was so excited and happy. The cake was so beautiful! We had 3 different flavors and they were all amazing. We also had a wooden cake stand that my husband and I bought in Taiwan. It was so beautiful, and it really added more flavor to the cake. I am so happy we went with Betty for our wedding cake. She was great and we loved her.
