Our cake was INCREDIBLE! We decided to do a small cutting cake, and then made the rest of the slices in mini form. We choose a champagne sponge with a raspberry jam filling and a plain vanilla or chocolate buttercream. I can not tell you how many people complimented our cake flavor choices and how beautiful it was. We were able to pick multiple different flavor combinations for our mini cakes and everyone was so delicious. We ordered more than enough slices for everyone at our wedding and we had guests going back for seconds and thirds. The cake was also absolutely gorgeous when it was time for the cake cutting. It was covered in this amazing delicate rose frosting and edible roses. It was so pretty! I also want to add that working with Melanie was so easy and she understood my vision of my cake immediately. She also made all the mini cakes to perfection. They were little works of art! Thank you Melanie and team for this amazing cake and making my dream wedding cake a reality!

We went to the Stamford location for a tasting and chose the white cake with Bavarian cream filling. When I called to order just the cake itself and decor, the person on the other end of the line said they had only two types of decor available (we chose one of those options). When the cake arrived the day of the wedding (a month early because of a Holiday sale!), it was a BEAUTIFUL white cake and a large piece of styrofoam in the shape of a mountain range. I can’t tell you how excited we were about our cake when we first met with them. And then, when we actually got to see it in person, we were almost in tears. It was GORGEOUS.

The day of the wedding, we weren’t able to eat much because we were going through the motions of saying congratulations to everyone. But we did cut a small piece of the cake and it was DELICIOUS. The cake was moist and flavorful, and the meringue (we chose a white meringue, and it was delicious too) was like fluffy clouds of perfection. The only thing that came close to it’s perfection was the fresh whipped cream that they would have whipped up if I had waited a month (instead of ordering fresh cream that had to be shipped in)!!!

The cake was perfect, and we were perfect for eating only a bite of it every 15 minutes. It’s a miracle that we’re still having any left over, as we had a lot of guests. It was so good, in fact, that we ordered a second one for our son’s second birthday (it was his first birthday while we were married). And then, we ordered one for our first anniversary (also while we were still officially married)!!!

So yes, we loved it, and even after all of that, we are still loving it. It’s so delicious that we cut into our anniversary cake about 3 weeks early….

By the way, I also ordered a groom’s cake for the rehearsal dinner, in the shape of a baseball. My husband is a big baseball fan, so this was fantastic. It was chocolate cake filled with cookies and cream (our other favorite dessert)!!! It was sculpted into a baseball and on the base, we wrote his name and the wedding date. It was perfect!!!
