Our wedding venue gave us their list of preferred vendors for our wedding, and Bake and Cake was at the top of the list. When I called to set up an appointment and ask about their gluten free cake options, they gave me Melanie’s email address, and she responded right away with a lot of information and a couple recipes for cupcakes that we tried at the tasting. (We actually also had a family member take one of our guests to the tasting since we all have celiac disease.) We ended up ordering the chocolate cake with raspberry filling and raspberry buttercream frosting, and it was amazing! We had a rustic themed wedding, and the sugar flowers were perfect. We also ordered a few dozen cupcakes with a variety of flavors, including some gluten free options. Our guests with dietary restrictions loved being able to enjoy dessert at our wedding. I was also able to order a custom cake stand and a cake platter for the after party. Both were made of ceramic and painted with our wedding colors. They looked great and were the perfect size and shape to fit some of the custom cake toppers we made. The venue staff cut the top layer of our cake when we ordered, and we were able to keep the bottom layer and freeze it for our anniversary. The price was also AMAZING, and a fraction of what we would have spent anywhere else. This is the best gluten free bakery in town, and I highly recommend them!
