As someone who is gluten-free, I was thrilled to find out that As The Cupcakes have gluten-free options! I contacted the shop via email and within a few days I received a response saying that they do have a gluten-free cake mix that they would happily cook for me. Even more, they went above and beyond by making a gluten-free red velvet cupcake for me to bring home and taste for myself! How awesome! So off I went to their shop and picked up the cake mix, then returned home and mixed together the cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, and butter. Phew! It was easy! I put the mix into a bowl, covered it with plastic wrap, and placed it in the fridge until I needed it. The results were amazing! The cake was moist and flavorful. Returning home after the wedding I realized I had two extra cupcakes… so I ate one for breakfast, and one for lunch! hahahahaha!

We had about 300 guests at our wedding. We decided to have a dessert bar instead of a wedding cake. As cupcakes go, nothing can compare to As Cupcakes. Their cupcakes are so delicious, you can’t go wrong with any flavor. So, we decided to do a bunch of different flavors of cupcakes, along with a few other desserts. It was a hit!!! We ordered enough cupcakes for all of our guests to have 2 each and then we ordered an assortment of mini cupcakes, cookies, and brownies. I didn’t have a specific recipe that I wanted to follow, so I wanted to do something simple but elegant. I sent As Cupcakes a photo of a cake that I liked and then they put my own touch to it. I chose different flavored cupcakes, one for each layer. The whole cake was then dipped in a different flavored butter cream (chocolate, peanut butter, and sea salt;) and then the cake was iced and decorated. The cake was perfect! The cake was elegant, simple, and just what I wanted. The flavors were out of this world! The cake was so moist and flavorful; you don’t usually get that with wedding cakes. It was so good that at one point the cake was all gone, even though we ordered enough for all of our guests. People just had to have cake!!! The desserts were equally delicious and then some! The only thing that came out better than the cake, were the cupcakes. They were so good that I ordered another dozen the week after the wedding. I can’t wait for my birthday, because I have a feeling that I will be ordering some cupcakes for my birthday!

There is no need to keep looking at least check out As Cups & Creations. They are the best of the best! From the moment my husband & I walked into their shop we were beyond blessed. The owner and her mother are so kind, caring, and genuinely try to help in any way they can. They give you what you want and still stay within your budget. They make you feel at home and make sure you are happy with every step of the way. They do not nickel and dime you and upcharge for everything. They are a no fuss, no muss shop that produces wonderful work. I had wanted to incorporate gold lettering/design on our wedding cake and she made it happen with grace and kindness. She helped me bring my vision to life and make it happen. Not only was the cake to die for, but the price point was perfect and helped us achieve our dream cake/dessert table. I would give her 10 stars if I could. Thanks ladies :)

Wendy is a true artist in the realm of cake. The creation of her cakes is nothing short of a work of art, and she is a master craftsman who practices what she preaches. For me, the experience with Wendy and her confections began with my husband and I doing a cake tasting at her shop. We were each given a plate with scads of different flavors of cake to choose from. We were able to mix and match flavors, and even have a different flavor for each layer. The cakes were all incredible, and the experience was very personable and fun. We ended up choosing carrot cake with a cream cheese icing for our Fall wedding cake, and a chocolate cake with peanut butter and chocolate icing for our wedding cake. Both were incredible, but the experience with Wendy was even better than the cakes themselves. She was able to do custom designs, including adding ribbon or pearls, and fondant ornaments based on our wedding colors. The end result was a masterpiece of cake decoration that was both beautiful and delicious. The flavors of the layers were also custom, and we even ended up with a little bit of each kind of cake in our freezer for later. The cake was such a big hit at the wedding that we ended up eating the top layer for brunch the next day. I’m not normally a fan of coconut cake, but Wendy’s is divine! I could go on for days about my experience with Wendy, but the bottom line is that if you’re looking for a masterful creation of a cake, As Cupcakes should be on your short list of vendors to consider.
