We were looking for a vegan cake option since Champagne is a favorite. We had tried the Vegan Champagne Cupcakes from The Bon Vivant and had been impressed, so when it came time to pick cake flavors, we knew we wanted to try them. We picked 3 flavors to try, and they were all fantastic. We ended up doing a 3-tier cake with one layer being Vegan Champagne, one layer being Vanilla Chocolate, and the other being Almond Poppyseed. Our wedding cake was perfect. The flavors were all so good that we couldn’t choose just one, so we had all three. They were all delicious. The only negative we had was that they had a little bit of a problem with their computer system. It made ordering a little bit difficult, but once we got everything sorted out, everything went perfectly. They were so nice and helpful, and it all ended up being delicious. Our wedding cake was perfect! It was unique, delicious, and beautiful! We had a naked cake with strawberry mousse and fresh strawberries, and it was delicious!!! All our guests loved it! It was so good that we actually didn’t have any left over! We were hoping to save the top tier for our anniversary, but the price was so good that we just ordered another one for our anniversary! The owner, Jenean, was so easy to work with and our tasting was fun and yummy! They also made us a great small cake for our first anniversary that was fresh and not from a freezer (since our wedding cake was so good that we wanted to eat the top tier instead of save it!)! I highly recommend this bakery for your wedding cake! They are also great for other desserts, like mini pies and pastries, and you can also get cupcakes or cookies there as well. They have really great variety and taste, not just chocolate or vanilla like most bakeries. Our wedding was in october and Jenean knew the temps would be high for summer so she helped me choose the best time to get our cake as the season changed. She really took the time to get to know me and my style and what I wanted for our wedding cake! I loved the variety of unique small cakes and the options for dessert were great! I highly recommend this bakery, especially for wedding cakes!

We used the team at the Bon Vivant to create a cake that looked like a stack of law books, as well as a cake that looked like a TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension In Space). These designs were the inspiration for our wedding invitation, which the TARDIS cake matched perfectly. The law book cake was amazing, complete with a Supreme Court courtroom and a full page of the United States and Illinois constitutions. The cake was so detailed and amazing that my husband and I almost didn’t want to cut it, but it was delicious. I’m not a big cake person, but this cake was beyond incredible. Our guests were so impressed with both designs and the taste of the cake that they were telling people about our wedding months before it happened. The team was very responsive and great to work with. I would use them again for sure.
