I knew exactly the type of cake I wanted when I first went to busy corner 2 years ago. I knew I wanted a selection of cupcakes with a small, simple, frosted cake for cutting. Lori made that happen and did an amazing job! Last visit, I tried her pumpkin cake and knew I wanted that for our fall wedding cake. YUM! I then found out she makes FIVE flavors of cake, so I had to get more cupcakes, cookies, bars and pies from her to experiment with the other flavors! ALL DELICIOUS! Her prices are extremely reasonable and she’s always willing to work with you to make exactly what you want! Her cakes are the best I’ve ever had! Her baking is so yummy I couldn’t choose between her cupcakes and cakes! She makes everything from scratch with REAL ingredients! No artificial food dyes, preservatives or corn syrup allowed! She uses buttercream instead of fondant and makes very good, very smooth buttercream! (Many fondant buttercreams I’ve tried haven’t been smooth or tasted very good-her’s is!) She uses graham crackers instead of sugar cookies and they are very tasty! (No more stale cake for me!) She bakes everything DAY OF so you get fresh, cakey icing and the best flavor!) Love her and her family so much, I actually get emotional when I think about her baking skills and how sweet she is!)

I cannot say enough good things about Jennifer and Busy Corner! She was the one of the only bakers on the east coast I found who was willing to make a non-traditional wedding cake from scratch (you know, the kind that isn’t fondant.)

We had a four-tier cake with each layer a different flavor. Not only was each tier scrumptous, but the way she customized each flavor to our liking was amazing. She even made her own filling for one of the layers.

The best part was the look of the cake. I wanted a very specific look, and I found that only Jennifer was able to do what I wanted. She also made great recommendations for the size and decor of the cake, and the final product was beyond my expectations.

I loved working with Jennifer, and I’m looking forward to eating this cake on our first anniversary :)

We used the new bake shop run by Nancy and Dave for our wedding. They were great. We were able to do a “to go” tasting box (so many good choices), and then were able to pick a few additional flavors to try as well at a discount. They were also able to do various sizes and flavors of cake, as well as sheet cakes for the price of a single large cake. We ended up doing a round 6-inch cake themselves along with 100 mini cupcakes (4 flavors) for the guests. They decorated the mini cupcakes however we asked (some with fondant flowers), put our personal wedding stickers on them, and boxed them up at the wedding. They also delivered the cakes to our venue on the day of the wedding. The cakes were so cute, and our guests loved them! We didn’t have very much cake left over at all, and the guests seemed to enjoy them as well. We also got to take some home without freezing (yay!), and the cakes were so tasty! We would absolutely use them again for an event, and would highly recommend them for wedding cakes!

I am so glad we found Natalie to create our cake. I had my vision and she went above and beyond my expectations. It was more than just a cake, it was an amazing work of art. We got so many compliments on not only the way it looked, but also the taste! We had many flavors to choose from and all of them were great. The cake was so moist that we could have had a slice every day for the 2 weeks we had it and we still have people saying 2 months later how great it was and that they can’t wait to have another slice.
The best part is that Natalie also worked with us in finding vendors for the other side, especially the one that was very picky and gave us a whole separate cake that we didn’t even have to pay for.

If your looking for your next wedding cake, do not look any further. This is the best deal you will find and the best part is that it tastes so much better than a traditional wedding cake!
