I worked with Betty for my wedding this past June. She was a joy to work with and made my experience so easy and fun. She was very flexible with out wedding date/planning. She took my ideas for our candy buffet and even added some of her own to make it even better than what I had thought of! My candy buffet was one of the features I was the most excited for at our wedding and it turned out perfect! Our candy buffet was a hit and I am so glad I went with Betty for our wedding. She gives you so many different options to choose from and even has a few flavors of cake that you can choose from for your top tier. We had red velvet, lemon with raspberry filling, and spice cake with cream cheese icing. All of them were great and we had so many guests tell us how much they loved our candy buffet and our cake. We had so many guests say that they tried all three and they were all amazing! We even had some left over after our wedding and we ate them for days until they were gone. Betty is amazing and her candy is so good! She will make your wedding better than you could imagine!

The first time I had one of her sweets, I was in a 7-11 in South Carolina and she happened to be there selling her goods. I bought a bag of something or other and took it home. Later that night, I was on the phone with my mom and I told her that I just had the most amazing sweet in my mouth and she immediately wanted to know what it was. I told her and she was the most enthusiastic supporter of my ability to make it happen. I was so grateful and excited about her candies. It was love at first taste!

Fast forward to December of 2010. I had just moved to Indianapolis and was feeling lonely and depressed about it because I wasn’t able to find the sweets I was in love with. About this time, I began following her facebook page and noticed that she did birthday bars as well. I sent her a message and instantly, she responded with a message of encouragement and positivity. We talked on the phone and I told her that I was moving to DC in May of 2011 but would still be able to have her do my sweets. She was so excited and I could tell that she just loved the idea of being able to help someone have the sweets they love. She was so sweet and enthusiastic, that I decided to ask my now-husband if he wanted sweets like this (he wasn’t into sweets). I told her that his tolerance for sweet is pretty low and that she should just do a regular cake if he isn’t into sweets. She was so positive and enthusiastic about it that I knew she would be able to make him into her own personal sweets fan!

In May of 2011, I emailed her a summary of our conversation and she was so excited that she made some goodies to surprise him with. She also emailed me a couple of days before he and I were to fly back to South Carolina so that I could pick up the goodies. It was so thoughtful and loving and sweet. I am not a sweet person and her love for her product shows through and we all loved it.

Fast forward to May 2012. I had just got back from a 10 day trip to Indiana to see my family and I had left some goodies for my husband to eat while I was gone. I told her that I had left him some sweets and she was so positive that she made him some more. This is just the boost he needed to come back from South Carolina and see me! It was so thoughtful and loving.

Fast forward to October of 2012. I had planned my wedding for May 2013 but due to the pandemic, everything got moved up. We still wanted to have a small wedding and a bigger reception and I needed 13 dozen sweets! I had told Betty that I wanted a small cake for cutting and cupcakes for the kids. She was so sweet and told me not to worry and that she would make us some goodies. She is so positive and enthusiastic that it is just an added bonus that she is very good at her craft.

Fast forward to March of 2013. My wedding was on May 20th, 2013 and I had planned for her to make 13 dozen sweets. In some sort of divine intervention, she and I only did 2 cake tastings due to COVID-19 and I went into that with a positive attitude. I told her that I had already picked out my flavors and that I was only interested in white cake with chocolate and vanilla filling. She was so sweet and made us another round of tastings with different flavors. On the day of our wedding, she and her husband delivered the goods and everything was just as I had wanted it. I decided on a smaller cake for me and my husband and 13 dozen sweets. She was so positive and enthusiastic and it just was an added bonus that her sweets are so good!

I am not a sweet person and I love her sweets. I love that she is thoughtful and loves what she does. I love that she is passionate about her work. I love that she is honest with herself and her products. I love that she is creative and has the ability to make someone like me, who isn’t into sweets, love them. I love that she is humble and just loves to make people happy. I love that she is a kind person and will continue to support her and I will be a loyal customer for life!
