We had such a great time at our cake tasting and we were able to bring home lots of yummy cake samples! We were also able to bring home a small cake sample for our first anniversary, which was really nice! We had a little trouble contacting her after we booked, but she was very prompt when responding and was super helpful when I asked about adding on a groom’s cake last minute. When she found out the ribbon on my cake was the wrong color, she offered to spray gold or silver foil onto the ribbon to make it more like the rest of the cake decorations. It was so helpful and I am still so grateful for her responsiveness and willingness to help! We had a last minute cake topper added to our cake and a second topper we forgot, added on. Both of these were very helpful and friendly suggestions from her. Our cakes looked and tasted amazing! We got so many compliments and we were beyond happy with our cakes! We had a three tiered cake with each tier being a different flavor! We chose strawberry, lemon, and cinnamon! Each tier tasted so different and we got so many compliments on how delicious each flavor was! On top of all of this, she is so reasonably priced! She is honestly one of the cheapest in the entire city of Wichita, if not the entire state of Kansas. She also saves you money by not charging you a deposit like other cake bakers do and instead puts it on your final total! We saved so much money using Melvin’s Cake Shop and now I can’t wait to order some more cakes from her for birthdays and other special occasions!
