From the moment we sat down with Sue, we knew she was the person to make our wedding cakes! She was so welcoming, explained each cake layer and talked through the designs. She had samples of each flavor we were interested in and even made suggestions to make the cakes more delicious. She was so easy to talk to that it was almost like talking to a family member.

The day of the wedding, we were so happy to see the cake look and taste great! We got so many compliments on the delicious flavors.

Not only did our cakes look and taste great, she made them very special to us. At the wedding, she remembered everyone’s names and spoke of them while they were baking in the kitchen. The cake meant so much to us!

We highly recommend Sue at Bit of Whimsy Cakes to anyone looking for a wedding cake baker.

We absolutely LOVED our cake from Bit of Whimsy Cakes. We had a picture of the cake we wanted, but it wasn’t really possible (our cake was very unique). Tracy worked with us, and we ended up with a beautiful creation that was EXACTLY what we wanted. We had a 4-tiered cake, with a different design on each level (hence the name). We had a blue cake with white icing, a pink cake with purple, and a black and white cake with lemon and raspberry puree. The puree combined perfectly with the lemon/raspberry cream cheese frosting.

Not only was the cake beautiful, it was delicious. We had many compliments on the flavors, and I was shocked to hear one guest go out of her way to ask the wait-staff what flavor she could have next time (she had two pieces)!

We were so impressed with the cake, that I asked my brother to pick some up so we could have some at home (he was in the military at the time). That is quite the highest honor, to have someone in the military ask for a specific dessert to be sent to them!

We will definitely be asking for cakes in the future, for special occassions!

They have a good selection of cake flavors and they are very reasonable in price. The owner makes each cake as she sits so there is no worry about a frozen cake. They do not use fondant and just use buttercream icing. They are very good about making a cake that is to your specifications. They have a lot of cake stands to choose from and will work with you on the best one for the type of cake and size. They also have cake decorations that you can use on the cake. They also make a fresh cake topper for you to use the day of the wedding. It is a good place to get a good, basic, not too fancy, not to fancy priced, wedding cake. I would recommend them to anyone. They are a small operation so they get to spend that extra money on the cakes instead of padding their bank accounts.

My husband and I absolutely loved our wedding cake! We were so indecisive on what we wanted to do for our “fancy cake” that Bit of Whimsy Cakes was able to come up with a variety of different options that worked for us - from cupcakes to different flavors of cake balls. We had so much fun at our tasting picking out flavors and even got to take home some of the extras that we couldn’t finish! They worked within our budget and were so helpful in helping us figure out how to have our cake desired without having to sacrifice big servings for the price tag. The cake turned out so much more beautiful than I could have ever imagined! I would highly recommend them if you want someone who is knowledgeable, helpful, and delivers exactly what you want - not just what you imagined!
