We had the BEST time at our cake tasting. We had the privilege of meeting and working with Ellie and her team. They were all so helpful, knowledgeable, and gave us great ideas. We picked out our favorite flavor combinations and worked with Ellie to create a cake that was perfect for us. They gave us lots of great ideas and were so helpful and creative throughout the entire process.

Of course, the BEST part of Cakes by Ellie is their wonderful cakes. The flavors are unbelievable and we had so much trouble deciding on just one. The cake was so moist and the fillings and frostings were equally as wonderful. They were also great about working with us on the design of the cake and really understood the look we were going for. The cake was perfect, the flavors were perfect, and the process was so much fun! They are definitely the BEST!

We had our wedding in Lexington, KY but we decided to do a taste-test at Cakes by Ellie (the #1 rated wedding cake vendor on The Knot). We had to plan everything via email since we live out of state. All communication was done via email or phone. We set-up a date to come to Lexington and we had 4 different cakes prepared for us. We had never had cake this good before. We had the lemon, the chocolate, the strawberry and the cookies and cream. The strawberry was our favorite but all the cakes were great. We had a few people tell us after the wedding that they had 2 slices of each kind. We decided to have our reception in a venue that serves alcohol. We told them we wanted to keep the cake as simple as possible and we had a #1 cake from Cakes by Ellie and a cocktail from Blue Grass Tavern. It was the most simple cake and the best cocktail we have ever had. We highly recommend Cakes by Ellie. The cake was one thing that didn’t disappoint. We also had some of our more creative ideas such as having a fondant fireman’s cake come later in the evening but we thought everything turned out great.
