We were not planning on getting married in New Orleans, but our wedding venue happened to be located there. A month before the wedding, we decide to plan everything from our home in Virginia. Our venue was not very helpful and told us that they can’t send people to help us set up in New Orleans.

I contacted Steven and he was quick to respond and said that he could help us. He booked our wedding date and we started planning everything from his shop.

About 2 weeks before the wedding, I contacted Steven again and he made arrangements to get some of his employees to come to help us.

The day before the wedding, I received a phone call from Steven. He informed me that the flowers on the table that we were using as a cake stand, were not easy to maitanence and he offered to make some extra.

The day of the wedding… I didn’t even got to see him before the wedding. He and his crew showed up and set up everything and it was absolutely perfect.

The cake was absolutely PERFECT. I had a square cake with flowers on each corner. The cake was square, but it had a rounded top (it looked like a rounded box).

The cake was moist and there was plenty of filling (I had 2 layers of filling and 1 layer of filling with a cream cheese icing).

The icing was not that of a typical wedding cake. It was a cream cheese icing (not that sweet & sugary icing that tastes like plastic) and it was amazing.

The cake was absolutely delicious and the cake was moist and there was plenty of filling (I had 2 layers of filling and 1 layer of filling with a cream cheese icing). I asked for a 3rd tier (that we didn’t use) to have a 4th tier.

The price was extremely reasonable.

Overall, Baum’s did an absolutely amazing job. I’m not just saying that because I’m married to the mayor. The crew that was helping us were very nice and they set up everything so quickly (even with the 2 days notice).

The cake was absolutely delicious and I was very happy with my cake (I had a 4 tier cake and used a different flavor for each tier - they were all very good).

I couldn’t have asked for anything more.

I had been to many weddings and was tired of the same cakes, so I asked my cousin, who was getting married in 2 weeks, to help me select vendors. She responded quickly and we set up an appointment with Baum’s. Their cakes are delicious and we loved the variety of flavors they offer. We were given samples of the flavors we wanted to choose from and their were many more options. We chose a variety that included chocolate mocha, chocolate, caramel and vanilla. I had seen a picture of a cake with colors merged together and that is what I wanted. I explained to them the colors I wanted and the cake was made exactly as I had hoped. On the day of the wedding I saw it for the first time and it was more beautiful that I had imagined. They worked with my florist to place the flowers on the cake and everything came out beautiful. I did not get the chance to taste any of the cake, but all of my guests raved about how delicious it was. I would definitely recommend Baum’s to anyone who wants a gorgeous and delicious cake.
