We used Bittersweet Bake Shoppe for our wedding cake and groom’s cake. We did three cake tastings before choosing Bittersweet for our wedding cake. The first place we tried was the shop. We were interested in multiple types of cakes and cupcakes. Bittersweet had everything we were interested in. The staff answered all of our questions about our options. After choosing our flavors and designing our cake, we tried another cupcake place and could not compare to the service and products that Bittersweet offered. We chose the chocolate and sweet potato cupcakes, a sweet potato cake with a caramel drizzle, and an oreo cake with a cookie butter cream frosting. The sweet potato and caramel cakes are out of this world. We get those two flavors every time we go to visit family in Indiana. Our design for our wedding cake was very simple, but the taste was incredible. After our initial meeting, we didn’t have to worry about our cakes. We got to try our flavors a month before our wedding at the wedding shower and then got to try a new flavor for our anniversary cake (chocolate with a chocolate fudge filling). We even ordered a few dozen cookies for our wedding favors and sent them home with our wedding favors. The cookies were a perfect example of the great taste and quality of the cakes from Bittersweet. We loved that everything was done right in the shop. Our cakes were delivered right on time and looked exactly how we wanted. The sweet potato and caramel cakes are a must have. The cookies were delicious and an added bonus. Everything from Bittersweet was a great experience. We will continue to get sweet treats from Bittersweet for special occasions.

We used Bittersweet Bake Shoppe for our wedding cake. We had a small ceremony cake and then a dinner party cake. The design for both was the same with the exception of the color. Our ceremony cake was lemon with blueberry filling and lemon buttercream icing. Our dinner party cake was almond with amaretto filling and almond buttercream icing. Both were absolutely delicious. Our guests loved the cake! The design was gorgeous and the icing was to die for! We didn’t want fondant on our cake, so they made the icing look like fondant and it was delicious! They were extremely helpful when we went to their shop for a tasting. They made us a 6 inch cake in the flavors we wanted to taste. We had brought in a picture of the design we wanted for our cake and they penciled it in on the tasting cake. It was so cool! The day of the wedding, they delivered the cake and set it up. It was exactly how it was supposed to be! We couldn’t have asked for anything more!
