I have to say - I am a tough critic when it comes to sweets! I am not a huge cake fan, but I LOVED my wedding cake. I did have to request that they make a few changes to the cake (you’ll see what I mean later!), but overall the cake was DELICIOUS (and not too sweet!) and the artisans were super friendly and helpful.

When I first tasted their cake, I became obsessed with the idea! Seriously! I LOVE the idea of fresh baking, real ingredients, and a home-made flavor! I love the idea of supporting a small, local business and I love the idea of supporting a new and young couple that is trying something new!

They have a few different flavors, as well as some vegetarian options. We ended up choosing a different flavor for each tier, but you are encouraged to try them all! I think that our favorites were cherry almond and snickerdoodle.

We ended up going with the name changes and fresh herbs option. It came out just as good, if not better, than the original cake! It had fresh lavender, fresh thyme, and fresh rosemary all throughout.

When we talked about the cake design, we were very specific! We wanted a very simple, yet elegant design with lavender coming from the herbs in the center and surrounding the outside of each layer. We also chose two different shades of lavender for the different tiers.

The cake turned out SO PRETTY! I was very very impressed! I love the pictures, but more importantly I love the fact that it actually tastes delicious!

I highly recommend Artisan Cakes to any other brides out there looking for a great tasting cake with the same fresh homemade flavors that you get in their shop!

Artisan Cakes did the most amazing job at what we wanted in a cake! When we first met with Michelle, we went through the different flavors we were interested in trying and she had samples prepared for us right there. We went through all the different flavors, toppings, and frosting’s and then she sat down with us and drew out for us what was going to be the best tasting cake ever! We got to pick so many different flavors for all the different layers of the cake that it was unbelievable! We got to pick every single thing; flavor of cake, topping, frosting, filling, and even the color of the cake. We were so detailed in how we wanted the cake to be and she made it happen! We got a wedding cake that everyone was blown away by how amazing it was and how detailed we went in asking for how we wanted it! The cake looked amazing and it tasted even better! The cake was so moist and all the different layers of the cake were so incredibly tasty! It was so good! We could not have been more happy with how everything turned out! The entire process of asking for how we wanted the cake to be and seeing it on our wedding day was so amazing and we are so happy we chose Artisan Cakes to do our wedding cake!
