We had a great time at the wedding. The wedding cake was great but the groom’s cake was the best thing about it. My husband grew up hunting so he wanted a deer head mounted and for sure it didn’t want one. I told the owner of our budget and he said he would try to do it for us. He didn’t know if he could do it at first but then he said he would call me back and let me know. He called back and said he could do it no problem. He asked me what I wanted mounted on the deer and I told him antlers. Then he asked me if I wanted the whole deer and I told him no, just the head. He said it would have to come off before he could do it though. I wanted a muzzel so we decided it would look better if it was painted red. He said he would do that too and he did. It was the best groom’s cake I’ve ever had. The wedding cake was very pretty. They used some gold foil on some of the layers. It was very pretty and it tasted good too. The cake was very moist. They had lots of different flavors to pick from. I think they have at least 6 different flavors. I believe you pick what you want the filling to be and what the cake is (white/yellow, chocolate/chocolate, etc) and what the icing is. They have lots of different kinds of icing. They have some fondant on some of the layers too, but they say you don’t need to use it unless you want it. It was great, I am so glad we decided to use them. I believe the price was good, not real cheap, but not too expensive either. They were very helpful. They will call you back to set up an appointment to let you know when you can come and talk to them about it. When you go there, they provide the tree trunk and the head. You just have to provide red paint, and red or black muzzel, and a red or black ribbon (to go around the muzzel if you want it) and a red or black ribbon (to go on the bottom of the cake if you want it). They also provide the stand too, but you just have to provide a screw on tree stump and screw on antlers (the same kind they use on the deer heads). We just had them deliver it to the reception hall a week before the wedding. It was all together and ready to go. They just had to put it on the tree stump and attach the antlers. It was all set up and it just looked so beautiful. It really was just a perfect cake. It tasted great and it looked really nice. The cake was very moist and it was just the right amount of sweetness.
