We used Cakes by Lucky for our wedding because they are a vendor from our wedding venue. We did a taste testing and they were amazing. We knew right away we wanted to use them. Our wedding was four months ago and I still have people ask me about our cake. We had a winter wonderland theme and the cake was beautiful and soooo good! Not only did the cake look amazing, but it was so good. I don’t like fondant and I had my top layer with fondant and I was very impressed that the fondant was the same color as the icing. Other than the top layer, the cake was all butter cream. I am not a huge fan of cake, but I absolutely loved it! It was so light and fluffy and moist. The frosting was very light and not too sweet. It was perfect! All of the flavors were so good. We chose amaretto with double chocolate fudge, raspberry with double chocolate fudge, and lemon with lemon curd. They were all very light and not very sweet. We also wanted to have a little fun and have a snowflake made of cake as well. They made a large fondant snowflake. It was a great touch. Overall, Cakes by Lucky gave me everything I wanted in a wedding cake. They were so easy to work with and the cake was amazing. I highly recommend them!!

Lucky made the cake for our wedding this past August. The flavors available for cake were so delicious, it was hard to only pick 3! They were also able to work with us in providing a flavor that wasn’t already on the menu. The cake was so beautiful! I wanted a simple white cake with light pink flowers and they were able to provide me with exactly what I wanted. The cake was delicious too! We had a vanilla cake with strawberry filling, it was so good! We had a lot of cake leftover because everyone liked it so much. I was a little disappointed because I was hoping to see some of the cakes they make regularly on their website, such as the pumpkin cake and their cakes in muffin form, but maybe they just aren’t big enough yet! Regardless, I was very pleased with the service I got from them and the end product was tasty. I would definitely recommend!

Lucky is amazing. Her cakes are delicious and the designs are spectacular. She was a little hard to get a hold of at first, but she is very friendly and helpful once you get a hold of her. If you go to one of her open houses, she will give you a few pieces of cake to try, and even let you take home a few pieces to eat and decide if you want to have her make a cake for you. We went to two open houses, and both times she gave us plenty of cake and frosting to try, and both times she also gave us cupcake sized pieces of cake so we could try a few different flavors. That is how we chose our flavors- we went with two of her delicious flavors. Our cake was delicious, and beautiful. We had so many compliments on how delicious and beautiful our cake was. We had a cupcake sized layer of lemon cake with raspberry buttercream, and a cupcake sized layer of chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting. We also had a small layer of vanilla with peanut butter frosting, and chocolate with peanut butter frosting. The frosting was all buttercream, and it was smooth and creamy, but not too sweet. The cake was very moist, and the size of the pieces were perfect. She also delivers the cake to the wedding, and will set it up if you want. We delivered our cake to the wedding ourselves, and it was ready and set up when we got to the reception hall.
