The 50’s restaurant has an amazing deal for hotel guests which includes a free breakfast buffet. We met with the restaurant and discussed our requirements for our wedding cake. We also discussed what our budget was. They gave us a taste test and 3 cake flavors to choose from. We had a cake buffet for dinner instead of cake. The cake buffet cost us only $19. This was a great price for what we received. We had the choice of 3 cake flavors and 4 fillings which made the cake taste test even better. We also had a choice of 2 frostings. We were able to choose 2 different frosting types. We were able to frost the cake with a buttercream frosting and then finish it off with a cream cheese frosting. The cake was amazing and we received many compliments on the flavors. The best part is that we were able to choose a different cake flavor and filling for each layer of the cake. The cake was delivered to the reception early. Overall the 50’s restaurant gave us a terrific cake and we were able to have a cake buffet for dinner which was a bonus. We were able to have hotel accommodations for a very low price which was great. The cake was amazing and people seemed to love the buffet. The staff was great and everyone we came into contact with seemed professional. I would definitely recommend the 50’s restaurant and the breakfast buffet.

We wanted to have a (semi) traditional wedding dinner, with all the trills. We went to 50’s and talked to Sid. He is the owner and head chef. He was so nice and invited us in when we were still in a wedding dress (us and our moms) for a coffee and to talk about our vision. They have some of the best gumbo i’ve ever eat (and thats coming from someone who loves gumbo). We tried a few of their recipes and he customized a sauce just for us. We ordered a prime rib (customized also) and homemade potato salad, and a chocolate tort, and all for $198 including tax. We were so happy, so happy. The wedding day came, we entered the reception hall and saw the cake and the chandeliers lit up. It was beautiful. After the ceremony we got to eat the food we bought and it was beyond anything we could have wished for. Sid and his staff are the best!

The 50’s diner has been a favorite place of mine since I was little. Their food is delicious and their cakes are to die for! I knew that I wanted them to make my wedding cake. The only problem was that they don’t deliver. I tried to get them to deliver a piece sample for me to try but they wouldn’t do it. So I ordered a small cake just to try the flavors. Well, they actually made a mistake on the flavor of the small cake and gave it to me free of charge. When the head baker found out that they wouldn’t be able to deliver the cake, she asked me if I would like a free sample of their wedding cake frosting. Of course I said yes! They sent home with me a big tub of whatever sample cake flavors I wanted. The cake was not only delicious but beautiful. They did a great job!

We had a great experience with 50’s. We were able to do a free tasting and picked out our flavors and fillings. For the wedding, they created a one of a kind dessert table with a sign that said our name. We chose our flavors and our fillings, then they took a mouth swab to make sure the flavors were what we wanted. We then paid a deposit to hold our spot at the table. At the wedding, they created our dessert table and treated us really special. We had our own little cutting cake and personal dessert shooters and bags to share with each other. The desserts were amazing and the table was a show stopper! They went above and beyond and they were a really nice couple to work with. I would definitely recommend 50’s to anyone looking for a fun and different dessert option at their wedding.
