I will be upfront and say that I am not a big doughnut lover. But I had a wedding to plan and needed to figure out a way to include doughnuts in the wedding. I had seen that Bogart’s does doughnuts during the week and is close to my home in Bloomington. So I called and they set up a tasting. First we got a dozen doughnuts to try. They were all very good but we ultimately decided on 4 different flavors. For weeks Bogart’s told me they would make sure the doughnut wall was filled with one of our flavors. In the end it was still able to be two flavors as they said they couldn’t tell the difference. We told them how many we needed and they gave us a wall chart with all the flavors, design suggestions, and other decoration ideas. They even threw in a few gluten free ones for me as I have a gluten allergy. They were super flexible with everything. On the day of the wedding the doughnut wall was BEAUTIFUL. They even put in a special decoration for our cake topper. The wall went so far the back that people had to stand to see the whole thing. Everyone said how good the wall was and asked where they were from. I highly recommend Bogart’s for wedding cakes or doughnuts. They were amazing. I will be back when my brother or sister gets married.

We worked with Bogart’s to handle our food and wedding favors (donuts!) and the experience was great from the beginning. The folks at Bogart’s asked about our wedding and what we wanted, and then worked with us to find a good variety of flavors and quantities. They worked with us on a very reasonable price and even gave us an extra dozen free of charge.

The final products were great, and our guests loved the donuts! The variety of flavors was great, and each one was delicious. We had strawberry, confetti, and chocolate raspberry, and each one was awesome. The donuts were moist, fresh, and flavorful. They were presented beautifully and arrived on time.

My only complaint is that we wanted to save some money by having our family members pick up the extra dozen donuts, but Bogart’s wouldn’t let us use their boxes. The donuts came in heavy-duty boxes that we weren’t able to use. They gave us a gift certificate so we could pick up the boxes ourselves, which is great. The only problem is that this increases the price of pickup, so we had to have our family members pay for the extra dozen (and they didn’t even get to pick them up!). This is only a small complaint, though - the final products were great and our guests loved them.

I’ve been a loyal customer for years, so when I was engaged I knew I had to have a Bogart’s wedding cake! Our wedding venue, the DoubleTree by Hilton in Minnetonka, had a package with a wedding cake from Bogart’s and a free anniversary cake – I was hooked! We settled on a 3-tier cake with their signature jumbo doughnuts and couldn’t have been happier. Our cake was a classic vanilla cake with our favorite doughnut filling and a rosette design (every bride’s dream, right?). We got the package for a 4-tier cake (which made it more substantial and more impressive for our wedding with 150 guests) and a second anniversary cake. Our wedding was in November, so we had the option of a naked cake or a cake in a casing. We opted for the classic vanilla cake with the rosette design in an ethereal casing and it was stunning! The cake was moist, the design was intricate, and the icing was light and incredible – it was perfect. We got so many compliments on the cake, not only because it was delicious but also because it was unique and fun. Our guests loved that it was a wedding cake that also included delicious doughnuts – it was a hit! The staff at Bogart’s was incredible every step of the way. They were so accommodating with the design, the flavor profiles, the creativity, and everything. They were also so helpful with the anniversary cakes and the cakes for our rehearsal dinner (where we had a Viking theme – they made a pulled pork and apple cake that was incredible). They’re one of the best bakeries in the Twin Cities and their cakes are some of the best in the business. Bogart’s offers so much more than just great doughnuts – they’re a fantastic bakery that can make all of your wedding cake dreams come true!

I don’t even know there’s a better doughnut anywhere, but there is and its called a Hogan. So, even though we’d be missing the free complimentary dozen, which I guess is sort of like a coupon, we decided to pass on the hogan and get the “free” dozen from Bogart’s instead. So, we did. And we’re not missing anything, because the hogan is even better than the free dozen from Bogart’s. Except the free dozen is free, but you have to order them in sets of 12, so it’s like getting two dozen, just for ordering one dozen. And Bogart’s is giving us one dozen free, and we ordered it any way we wanted, in any size, so its free zero value, which is even better than the miniscule value of 12 dollars. So, we ordered our dozen any way we wanted, in any size, and picked it up, on our dime, on Thursday between 8 and 5, in the drizzly weather. So excited! And on Friday they called to let us know they would be making us our free hogan, for our order, so we didn’t even have to pick it up ourselves! So, we got two free hogan, instead of one free dozen from Bogart’s, which if you think about it, is actually more value, since we order more than one dozen, and we get two hogan, instead of one, which is like getting a free half dozen from bogarts, which is even better, if you think about it, than the free zero value of 12 dollars from bogarts. And we didn’t have to order them on a Monday, get them on a Thursday, take them to the store on a Friday, and pick them up ourselves. So excited! Anyway, the girls who took our order were wearing orange vests, and had “Bogarts” embroidered in white on their name tags, so we knew where to be, and they called us to tell us when to be there, and it was ready by about 8, which is super duper early, even for a weekend order, so we knew it would be ready super duper early, for our order, and pick it up, on our dime, any way we wanted, in any size, and in the drizzly weather. So excited! So, we picked it up, on our dime, any way we wanted, in any size, and in the drizzly weather. So excited! And on Saturday, when we went to get it, between 10 and 2, it was ready, for us, any way we wanted, in any size, and it was delicious! So excited! Anyway, I guess what I’m getting at is, if you’re a local, and you don’t want to have to deal with the hassle of ordering on the weekend from a place that doesn’t open on the weekend, and then have to pick it up yourself, any way you wanted, in any size, and in the drizzly weather, don’t even bother with bogarts, because they don’t open on the weekend, and bogarts is better, if you think about it. Except bogarts is giving us two hogan for free, instead of one free dozen from bogarts. So, its not even a wash, because we still have more value, from bogarts. So, just know you’re missing out, if you don’t order from bogarts, any way you want, in any size, and in the drizzly weather. So excited!
