I am a local attorney in Jackson, MS. About a year ago, I was looking for a cake vendor for my then fiance’s birthday. We had a shrimp boat theme for the party. I emailed a few cake vendors and received no response. I then called several bakers in the area and received no response. One day I called and got Brad. He was very professional and personable. I was very pleased and quickly set up an appointment. On the day of the appointment, he had samples of the flavors of cakes and the flavors of fillings. He had many pictures of cakes he had done in the past to give me an idea of what I wanted. I chose 2 flavors and told him to call me when he got back from delivering the cake samples to me. He called the following week to let me know the cakes were ready to be picked up. On the day of the pick up, they were very nice. I took the cakes to my apartment and set them in the kitchen. The walls were white, so he told me to leave the boxes near the walls so the white walls would cover the boxes. I left them like that for a week or so. I called to pick the cakes up and they were perfect. The red velvet and strawberry with champagne were very good. The cake was a 4 tier cake with the top tier being a styrofoam board. I like the look of this better than a round cake. The boxes were on the wall the whole time. I was able to take all the styrofoam pieces with me. A week later, I went to a wedding show in the state and showed the cake to a lot of people there. Many people said it was one of the best wedding cakes they had seen. I was very pleased. I don’t usually like wedding cake. Many people at the wedding show said the cake tasted great. I was glad they said that. I was still able to cut the cake and serve it to the people. The cake came out great. The look was what I wanted and the taste was great. I am still eating the cake about a month later. It taste great.

I’ve been a customer of Adam’s since I was born, and it was the place I always dreamed of working before I became a wedding minister. So it was an easy decision to make when I got engaged. I ordered a bridal cake with a 3-D image of my engagement ring, and personalized decorations to reflect our personality traits. The decorations turned out beautifully, and the guests were raving about the delicious cake.

One thing I’ve never been able to do with any of my cakes is wait until the last minute to decide what flavors I want. So with our cake, we decided on white with lemon filling for four of our layers, and strawberry with cream cheese for the middle layer. Just prior to the wedding, we had a change in schedule that moved our wedding up by one day. We only had a few weeks before we were supposed to taste test the cake flavors and get the design finalized. But with God’s help, we were able to figure out a new plan.

I had the idea to replace the layers that were originally going to be filled with lemon with chocolate cake layers filled with tiramisu filling. It was a hit! The guests loved the cake up to the last minute.

The moral of the story is if you have a bakery you love, don’t wait until the very last minute to change your mind! Adam’s makes the most delicious cakes I’ve ever had, and they can also create any design you can imagine.
