Alley’s Cakes is a local bakery that I have grown to love over the years. When it was time to decide on a bakery for my wedding cake, Alley’s was the only bakery I considered. I’ve had their cakes and pastries before. I’ve seen their work. I knew they would get the job done. When I met with Laura, I explained what I wanted. She drew up a plan and I decided I was ready to place my order. It was that easy. They have a wonderful “planning” workshop where you can sit down with a baker and plan your dream cake. They ask the right questions and let you say your piece. It was so much fun! They then took my plan and planed it down to pie size proportions. It was easy to understand and I knew I could trust them with my wedding cake. When the day of came, I was not disappointed. My wedding cake was exactly what I wanted. It was so beautiful I did not want to cut it at first! It tasted wonderful. The other treats that I ordered were just as wonderful. I am not normally a frosting person, but their buttercream is delicious! Their pastries are out of this world! If I had a million dollars, I would buy them drinks every time we meet :) That is how much they mean to me! So now, I can not wait for my one year anniversary. I will order another cake from them. I will order pies too! I just can’t help it! They understand me :)

Alley’s Cakes is amazing!!! Not only is their cake amazing, but they are also reasonably priced. I emailed back and forth with Taren and she was always so quick to respond and very helpful. I tried going on a week or so where I couldn’t decide what I wanted and she was always very sweet and gave great advice.

We were able to do 2 different flavors for our cake. 1 layer was lemon with a raspberry bavarian cream filling and the other layer was chocolate with a cookies and cream filling. They were both just so good. We then were able to add on 2 more flavors for additional layers- caramel and pecan with a pecan praline filling and then vanilla with a cookies and cream filling and that was our last layer.

We were also able to do a faux cake. We wanted to be able to take the top layer out on our wedding day and not have anything go into the box. Also, our wedding cake was 5 tiers, but we would only have to freeze one tier. We decided we wanted to do a faux cake. We emailed some pictures back and forth and she designed us a 5 tier cake with a false bottom. The rest of the layers would be normal 5 tier cake. We were so excited to see this cake come together because it was so intricate.

We were able to do different flavors for each tier. We had gone over our box allotment 2 weeks before the wedding and was able to email her and get 2 more layers. We were so excited to see this cake come together because it was so intricate.

We were married in Eureka Springs, AR and Alley’s delivered our cake to the venue. It was so good and moist. Everyone was raving about it. We didn’t save the top, but we will definitely be getting a replica (faux) for our 1 year anniversary. :)

Alley’s Cakes is one of our favorite places to get cake from. Not only is their cake delicious and beautiful, but they are great to work with. They were one of the only local bakeries who made us a special cake for our grandparents because they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this year. When we decided to have a wedding in the city, they were supportive without being pushy. They also offer a free tasting so you can try their cake flavors and fillings. Since we knew we wanted to serve pie with our cake, we added in a pie tasting. They give you large slices of pie to take home and even let us pick 4 different kinds of pie to try. They are a local bakery so we know we can go back for more pie any time we want.

When the big day came, they delivered beautiful mini pies on a wooden board. They even customized one of their delicious pies for our’s signature: Chocolate raspberry. The pies were a hit and we got fewer than 7 pies to serve over 150 guests.

They are a great local bakery, we will use them again!
