I first met A Piece of Cake while on vacation in Mantalao. We had a few days to ourselves and enjoyed a lot of activities. I decided that night we would try to go to the beach the next day. The problem was that the beach was closed on Mondays. I had told the hotel we were staying at in Mantalao that we would be going to the beach the next day to try out a local restaurant.

While at the restaurant, we saw they also did cakes. I called and was able to get a hold of the person in charge of weddings. We booked the day after our initial meeting.

The cake and decorations came out very beautiful. They gave us a custom made cake that combined flavors from some of their more popular cakes. The cake was very moist and the frosting was very light, not too sweet.

Now I understand that not every cake is a success. I read some of the reviews that say the cake was too dry or there was too much frosting. I can assure you that they would have let us know if that was the case. Also, I had asked my daughter to send me a picture of the cake after the wedding. The cake was there and looked very nice.

Since we were already in our beach chairs on the beach when the cake arrived, it was a bit of a disappointment not to have someone bring it out. That said, the cake was so delicious that it didn’t matter.

I would recommend them to anyone who is planning a wedding or any type of celebration. We were so pleased with their cakes that we are going to order one for our first anniversary.
