When I began my wedding planning process, I knew that I wanted to serve my guests pie on my wedding day. But I didn’t know where to go for a pie recipe that would be suitable for my small, NYC wedding (my husband is British, and I am Eastern European). Bites did just what I had hoped for: an array of delicious, individually crafted pies that were affordable.

We went with Bites' signature pies: a mix of traditional and some of their signature flavors. We had the best of both worlds: mocha, chocolate, raspberry, and apple fans were satisfied, as were their unique pies (Nectarine, Lemon, Peach, and Blueberry). The best part: everything was made from scratch, so no nasty, pie-like artificial flavors. We received huge pieces of pie as well as mini pies in special pie boxes for guests to take home. The staff at Bites was very accommodating, and everything ran smoothly.

I don’t even know there to begin. Melissa is an artist and truely out of this world amazing. Her cakes are like no other, they are so creative and yet elegant and of course they are DELICIOUS. She will do whatever it is to make her clients happy and she is so down earth and relatable. I could not ask for any better. My husband and I met her and we were hooked instantly. We were lucky to even get a piece of her cake that night and we had a little tasting of four flavors that night. We had such a blast that we asked her to come to our engagement party and not only did she come but she brought us some of the most amazing cupcakes of the flavors we had tried for the party. It was just the beginning, we had such a blast planning each detail of our wedding and with each decision we made on flavors, colors, design etc. She was and is so relavent, we could tell that she has a heart of gold and a passion for what she does. We had such a blast that when we walked into our reception on our wedding day we just about died from happiness. Seriously it is that dificult to not start screaming and dancing right then and there. We had a cake and cupcakes for 200… how can you not have a blast? Well I am not done yet… after our wedding we started planning our first baby shower cake. We love cupcakes and of course wanted something fun and different. We asked Melissa if she could make us a little fox cake. Now a fox is not a little thing it is a big hairy beast and quite difficult to make into a cake. Not only did she say that she would do it but she made a special little cake for us with a little fox on top. It was the most grreatest and amazingest surprise and of course the most delicious cake ever. I could go on and on but you get the point. The best is yet to come. We are having our first birthday party this weekend and of course we asked her to make cupcakes for us and to design them how we wanted them. Once again she went above and beyond. They were sooo beautiful and delicious. The list could go on and on but you get the point. She is an artist, a dreamer and a truely amazing person. If you have the chance to meet her do it. You will thank me later… promise.

I have been a vegan for 15 years, and always wondered why there weren’t any vegan bakeries. Well, Bites is the first vegan bakery I tasted, and I was thrilled to find the flavors I was looking for. They were very generous with the tasting, and left me with a whole box of cookies and brownies to take home. I did try out a couple of other bakeries first, and none of them even compared to the bite-size desserts they offered. I was also very pleased that the prices on everything were very competitive, and the people very helpful and friendly.

I ordered two dozen vegan carrot cake bites and a dozen chocolate-dipped rice krispie treats, and everyone loved them. The treats were so delicious that my coworkers begged me to bring more home. I loved the fact that the treats were bite-size, so it was easy to take a few home without anyone realizing they were vegan. I also ordered a cake for my birthday, which was a chocolate cake with vegan vanilla and chocolate mousse. It was so good that I had a piece for breakfast the next day :)

I am very happy with the treats and the cake, and will definitely order more from their store when I need special treats. Thanks to Adam and the rest of the team for making such yummy treats!
