For our wedding we wanted to give people a reason to get excited. We did not want to do a traditional cake so we decided on mini cakes. We got 16 different flavors! We had one little cake for us and then 16 different flavors of mini cakes! It was a huge hit! They are so cute! My favorite was the spice cake with pumpkin in it!

We also decided to do a grooms cake. We had a NY Giants cake! It was so cool! They took a picture of his jersey and printed it!

The only problem was…they went out of business! What?! That was two days ago and today I found out about it. I emailed them to ask if they had any orders that were not processed yet and if I could take over the order since they went out of business. No answers. I called and the number is disconnected.

I was just so shocked that this happened and I couldn’t do anything. If you do decide to do mini cakes stop and think about this. I really could have used those mini cakes. Imagine if I would have known I needed to do it earlier I would have asked some friends to do it.

I am not sure what the future holds for them but if you do decide to do mini cakes you need to know this happened.

We were so happy to have a cake from ByPensa for our wedding. It was so delicious that we actually regretted having just one piece (not enough to divide among our guests!). We got the strawberry shortcake and the cannoli filling, and it was really delicious.

It was also so easy to work with them - at our tasting, they prepared about 8 different combinations of cake and filling. With so many options, we knew we wouldn’t be limited in what we could offer our guests.

They also have a variety of designs, and we ended up choosing one that had a horizontal “striping” made of alternating dark and light chocolate. It was simple and elegant, and I showed them a photo of one of their cakes that I liked, and they replicated the cake exactly. It was so beautiful that we actually regretted adding our own flowers (which didn’t translate well into red, red roses…).

I highly recommend working with them. We had so much fun at our appointment, and the cake was so delicious that it was truly a highlight of our wedding planning.
