The two biggest complaints I have about my wedding were (1) there wasn’t enough cake and (2) the cake was dry. So I’m pleased to say that the Lemon Raspberry cake (a.k.a. the Risque) was one of the highlights of the reception! It was incredibly moist and the buttercream frosting was light, sweet, and perfect. We also did the standard cake & white velvet/raspberry filling/cream cheese icing combo, which was delicious, but the lemon raspberry was so much better that I can’t recommend enough! The cake was decorated beautifully and I love that they encourage you to do your tasting at the store (so that you can actually take home some leftovers!). They also made sure that my cake topper was in perfect condition before they sent it on its journey to my wedding. Overall, I cannot recommend them enough!

The venue used Brandenburg for their cake and that’s what our by-the-book smart and nice wedding coordinator told us, that and the fact that it tastes AMAZING (I’m not just saying that because it’s my cake.) we picked it up days before, boxed up one of each flavor and took it on the plane to Jamaica. Upon our return, un-boxed it and served our guests. It’s that good. Also to note, they did the cake tasting in a comfortable and cute little kitchen inside of their large store. They had all the flavors we wanted to try and we left with a nicely boxed up selection of cakes that we took home. Not only did we have enough cake for everyone to have one of each flavor, we had so much left overs that we took it to work. It’s that good. The delivery of the cake to the venue and the price was about $40 or so, which included the cake stand. They also made a small cake of our wedding design a few days before. Brandenburg is a great bakery, with locations all around the tri-state area. I’m sure you can find one near you.

When my husband and I were planning our wedding, one of the things that we knew we had to have at the end of the day was “the cake”….it was that important. Well with 2 top cakes on the calendar (my bridal shower and the wedding) we knew we needed to book at the same time. Why book 2 spots when you can book 1 and take advantage of a great deal? Well we took advantage of that and booked the cake for both events.

Brandenburg Pastry is a New York City institution and when I tell you, you know it’s a winner. Over the years they’ve had every year of my life, every major event I’ve been able to celebrate, every milestone my kids have made and every surprise I’ve been able to have. When they say they are the “world’s oldest continuously-operating pastry shop”, you know they have got to have something up their sleeve for surprises. Yes, I know I’m getting off track, but these guys are THE BEST!

The deal of a lifetime was made for us….a deal that included, delivery, set-up, 2 cakes at one great price! It doesn’t get any better than that! We were able to pick from a variety of flavors, frostings and patterns (they do everything from the simple to the extremely detailed) and we were able to have a cake for 2 that was bigger than any of the cakes we had seen online or in person! It just didn’t end there…we also got a cake stand to use for free! Their customer service is fantastic, their professionalism is top notch and they are just some of the many reasons they are the best and one of a kind!

Our cakes were beautiful and more than what we had hoped for. Our guests talked about how delicious each cake was (we did 2 flavors and they were both absolutely delicious). Our moms were able to come as well and they got a cake for a picture with one of our cakes. It was a wonderful surprise for them! Our cakes are still at our venue and they are still as beautiful as the day they were made! Brandenburg Pastry is the BEST EVER and we are so thankful they were able to make our cakes and help make our day perfect!
