We had our wedding in Mount Kisco, but we live in Brooklyn. We wanted our cake baker to be local as well. We found just what we were looking for in Cake Heights in the Hudson Valley. They are a small local bakery, but they are very talented. I had the opportunity to meet with the head baker, Taryn, and design my own cake. I chose a simple, elegant cake design with orchid and flower details. It was so beautiful. The cake was delicious! It was 4 layers- chocolate, white, berry, and lemon. All the flavors were present and they were just the right balance. Our guests loved it! The cake was moist, delicious, and not too sweet. They were really able to create a beautiful, simple design that matched our style and also fit our flavor- the perfect combination! I would highly recommend Cake Heights, even if you live far away!

Our wedding cake was so delicious and beautiful! The white cake was incredibly tasty, very moist, and the filling was delicious. I also loved the fact that they use butter cream frosting and not fondant. The cake was also very beautiful, elegant and simple. We were also able to have different fillings for each layer. The people at the bakery were also very nice to work with. They delivered the cake on time and the delivery guy decorated the cake with fresh flowers from our florist. We didn’t have to worry about anything! Everything went very smooth. Our guests also loved the cake! We had a different kind of cake for each layer: chocolate with hazelnut cream, vanilla with lemon curd, and dark chocolate with raspberry cream. I heard that people ate about 3 pieces each! We also had a gluten free cheesecake for the gf guests. I’m not gf, but I tried some of the cake and it was still very delicious! I loved that we could choose different flavors for each layer. For our 1 year anniversary, they are making us another small cake with the same flavors so we can eat it together (you know, to help us celebrate!). I highly recommend Cake in the Heels!

We used this bakery for our wedding cake. We got married at the Bellport Country Club and the venue uses this bakery. We were able to pick what we wanted in terms of flavors of cake and frosting and we ended up choosing chocolate cake with chocolate fudge and fresh raspberries as the filling (oh my goodness is good). The frosting is a buttercream which is basically whipped up butter and sugar and it is the BEST frosting I have ever had. The designer made our cake exactly as we wanted and to the detail we were hoping for. It was gorgeous! We also bought a smaller cake just for our moms who were very excited to have dessert at the wedding. The design on the cake was also exactly as we hoped for. It was gorgeous! Everyone at the wedding loved the cake - its flavor and its beauty. It was the perfect dessert at our perfect wedding.

We used Cake Heights because it is the bakery that our venue, The Metropolitan Opera, works with. We were able to get the cake of our dreams, and it tasted as amazing as it looked. We had three tiers, each one a different flavor, and they were all delicious. We had a gold plating on the cake, and since we had feathers included in our decoration, the plating had to be shiny and flat, which is not the easiest to achieve. But they did it, and the result was gorgeous. It was the most beautiful cake I have ever seen, and it tasted like heaven. We got so many compliments on the cake at the wedding, and even the next day. We can’t wait to cut into it again for our one year anniversary! The only thing that I would change is that it would be nice if they would give you a piece of cake instead of just saying that they will give you a piece next time you are in the store, since you will be back in the neighborhood. :) It is a small thing, but it is there. Other than that, I highly recommend them!
