We had a wonderful experience working with Alex. Our cake was included in a package with our hotel and reception venue. After making our selections through the website, we received a confirmation e-mail and then heard from Alex. After we received the confirmation, we had about 2 weeks before the wedding. We made an appt. and went to her shop to meet with her and taste the cake flavors. We received a truly wide variety of choices. We chose a flavor and filling for every layer. We also got to choose a ribbon color. We received a very nice little tasting. We chose our package flavor and filling. We chose 2 layers to have a different flavor/filling. We discussed with Alex. how we wanted the cake to look. We received a very nice piece of cake. It was round and 4 layers. We chose red velvet with cream cheese, chocolate with chocolate fudge, almond with almond butter, and strawberry with cream cheese. We also received a small cake that we used for the cake cutting. It was a mason jar with a lid. We brought this jar to the rehearsal dinner so everyone could see. It was full of ALL the flavors we had chosen. Everyone loved it. We LOVE red velvet. This cake tasted very good. The outside was a ivory colored fondant with black swipes. It looked very much like a map. Each state was represented by a color. At the top was our initials. The map was covered with a gold glitter. On a side note, I love how she serves the cake. You get to try every slice. You don’t have to pay for a tasting. You just go and serve yourself. Everyone gets their own plate. It’s so nice. I highly recommend Alex and Cake Creations. I was very happy with our cake and service. Our wedding day was amazing. We were so busy. We didn’t even get a chance to have cake. We had ice cream. :)

I am an extremely picky bride, with high expectations. I looked for a cake designer for almost 6 months before contacting Alex. I was very impressed with her professionalism, creativity, and most of all the cakes she had done before. I showed her a picture of what I was looking for and we were able to come up with a design that me and my husband agreed on. The best part was the taste. It was by far the best cake we had ever had. The day before I even had a chance to taste it, she made us some more. We were so impressed, we ordered 2 cakes. One 4-tiered cake, and a grooms cake. Both with the same design and taste, and we could not have been happier. The grooms cake was the best yet. I am a nurse, and the year my husband was going to be off on his own nurse training, she made a cake that looked like a nurse uniform, with my husband’s name on it. It was the best surprise ever! I could not have asked for anything better. The taste was phenomenal, and the design was almost to good to believe. I was very impressed, and I am not the type of bride to give a 5 on everything. I would give this vendor a 10 if I could.

The first thing that came to mind when we were considering a wedding cake was “chocolate cake”. For us, it was not just a preference; it was a must! Cake Creations by Alex made exactly that - a delicious, moist chocolate cake with real raspberry seeds and covered in a chocolate ganache! We added a few layers of flavorings/fillings (chocolate, almond, raspberry, white…) and our guests could not stop eating it! Alex was able to design a beautiful cake that looked exactly like what we wanted. I sent her a few pictures to illustrate the shape of the cake I was looking for and the final product was even better than what I imagined! She was so easy to work with, and made it so easy that I did not worry at ALL about how it would all come together. I knew that she would take care of it (as if it were her own wedding)! At our wedding reception, we did not stop talking about the chocolate cake all night! It was one of the best cakes we have ever eaten! We cannot wait to cut into our top layer for our first anniversary!
