I met with a lot of “cakes” people before I met Hillary. One of the main things I wanted was a really good flavor for my cake. A lot of people just make you cupcakes or a flavor of the week and that’s it. I went to a tasting with Hillary (who is a really fun person) and she brought SO. many. flavors. She has the best flavors ever! She also brought some really cool flavors like Snickers and Maple.

The cupcakes were soooo good. But I wanted more. I wanted a really really good flavor. So, we got to choose two flavors. Two! Yikes! One for cake and one for frosting. AMAZING.

The price was really good, too.

When I first met her, she drew on paper. A rough sketch of my cake. It was like magic. Not only did it look like exactly what I wanted (but even better) it was one of the best flavors ever. I was so happy.

Fast forward a year. I had already paid the deposit. Yay! But I had a few “unforeseen issues” that popped up and I had to downsize a bit. I told her as much and gave her some options. Like I could still have my two cupcake choices and have my small cake in the back. Or I could take the two cupcake flavors and make it ONE flavor. Or I could choose a different flavor for cake and frosting. Well, I really wanted that original flavor for cake (cookies and cream) and I told her I wanted that. She was flexible and accommodating.

Fast forward to the wedding. The cake was so good. The cookies and cream flavor is like nobody has ever tasted it before. It is SO good. The cake was perfect. The frosting was amazing. The cake was gorgeous. The design was perfect. She even decorated the top of the cake with rainbow sprinkles (because I love fun and bright colors) and flowers. It was just perfect.

The best part was…the small cake in the back? IT WAS THE SAME FLAVOR AS THE CAKE AND FROSTING! AMAZING. I got two of the best cupcake flavors ever. AND I got the best cake ever. It doesn’t get any better than that.

Hillary is amazing. Choose her. You won’t regret it.

I have to say, I’m usually not a big cake fan. Nothing against cupcakes or cake pops, it’s just not my thing. I am however, EXTREMELY picky when it comes to cakes. I didn’t want a fake tree-looking cake made of fondant. I wanted a real tree-looking cake made of fondant (or if real trees weren’t going to work, THEN I wanted real plant material that looks like wood). I wanted the tree to be at least 2 feet tall.

Well, that’s exactly what Cake Creations made for me! A real tree-looking cake! And not only that, but it was absolutely delicious. We went with Pineapple Mango and Pomegranate Raspberry fruit compotes, and chocolate and vanilla buttercream. It was rich, chocolatey, fresh fruit flavor, very summery, very perfect for fall. The cake was moist, not too dense, fluffy and healthy! Hillary at Cake Creations was SO accommodating and helpful. She worked with my ideas to come up with a perfect wedding cake! She also made us some DELICIOUS cupcakes to try at our tasting. I am VERY glad I went with Cake Creations, and I highly recommend them for any of you who are getting married this fall/winter!
