We loved Cake Makers! We had a small wedding so everything had to be done far enough out that we weren’t tied to a certain style or design. All we had to do was pick flavors! They had so many awesome flavors that it was hard to choose. We ended up with: white chocolate with a raspberry filling, chocolate with a peanut butter filling, and strawberry with a cream cheese filling! They were all fantastic.

The best part was the taste! I have a huge sweet tooth and am known for my addiction to cake. However, I don’t like cake that much. I told this to Cake Makers and they did not disappoint. Their cake was super moist, and the fillings were phenomenal. I ate cake for days after our wedding!

I would highly recommend Cake Makers to anyone! And they were not tied to any particular design either. They did however offer to put a fondant design on the cake for free, but we declined since we wanted something more to our taste.

EDIT: this was completely written before the 2020 pandemic. We live in the north for this reason. The portions are still the same however, so it still applies.

2020 UPDATE: this was written in 2020, we got married that year. We ended up having a small wedding. Things were going great until March of 2021 when the world shut down. We chose not to wait the extra 6 months to recieve our wedding cake and prepaid for a small cake that we ended up eating. We loved the cake and think it’s a wonderful memory, but the portions have definitely decreased.

We do however still recommend Cake Makers if you’re looking for a great cake and fantastic people to work with!

Mrs. Donna and the Cakemakers are wonderful! I was not sure that I was going to be able to afford my dream wedding cake, but when I found out that the Reitz Center sold wedding cakes, I decided to set up a meeting. I had a picture of a wedding cake that I liked, and my family and I went for a cake tasting at the Reitz Center. We all thought that the cakes tasted delicious, but we still had a hard time deciding. I was even more excited when I found out that the cake could have a different flavor for each tier. My husband still makes jokes about how his favorite tier was chocolate, and his favorite tier is pumpkin. I was worried about the cake looking beautiful, but she assured me that she could do it, and she did! Our cake was three-tiered, and each tier was a different flavor. It tasted delicious, and it looked even more beautiful than I thought it would be. They also made my cake just like the top tier (my husband’s favorite) for our one year anniversary. The Cakemakers are wonderful to work with, and their cakes are wonderful! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding cake or a special occasion cake!
