We celebrated our daughter’s first birthday this last weekend. We invited many friends and family for a cookie party and also had a small cake made for the birthday girl. However, the biggest hit was the “party” provided by the Alamo City Cookies. We ordered the cookies, individually wrapped in cellophane, red and green decor included and had a large selection of flavors. Everyone loved the cookies and they were a great value for what we got. I highly recommend them for any special event. In addition, they provided all the set-up and take-down (instructions included) and the most amazing thing… A small birthday cake, decorated like a cookie, for the birthday girl. Just the sweetest thing! I highly recommend the Alamo City Cookies. You will not be disappointed.

I ordered and had delivered by Crematory Bakery, a assortment of their most popular cookies plus one of their custom-made-from-scratch cookies, for my husband’s and my wedding. The custom-made-from-scratch cookie was made to order with our names, date of wedding, and a little touched up to look like a fondant flower. This was a very thoughtful touch as we did not have a signature cake for him like many of their other clients. The cookies and filling were all delicious.

The only trouble was that when the cookies arrived in the boxes that they were supposed to be in, they were not in boxes big enough to hold them all stacked on top of each other. This meant that the top cookie in the box was not the one that I had put the most loved on top of (the one with our names on it). This would not have been a big deal except that this one cookie (with our names on it) was the only one with the special flower. So, while all the other cookies were delicious, our special cookie was not.

Even so, I still give the bakery a big thumbs-up for their cookies being delicious and their attention to detail regarding the custom-order cookies. They have now become my second choice for a nice assortment of wedding cookies (the first being Cakes by Carla). Crematory Bakery is also a nice place to work with, both for their custom-order cookies and their assortment of delicious, crunchy cookies.
