This cake was so good. It was moist and delicious. It was very difficult to choose the kind of cake we wanted because they were all so good. We were able to do a different flavor for each layer of the cake. We had cherry, strawberry, chocolate, red velvet, vanilla, and chocolate-raspberry. We received many compliments on how good the cake was. The design of the cake was just what we wanted. The only thing that wasn’t perfect was that the bottom layer of our cake was supposed to have a bow made out of icing that was placed on top of it, like a traditional bride’s cake, however, it was just a flat piece of icing. It looked a little strange. Otherwise, everything was great. Our wedding cake was delicious, beautiful, and affordable. I would definitely recommend this vendor to anyone looking for a great, delicious wedding cake.

I know that the owner of Brandys' Cakes is related to Marilyn Brandys, who is the granddaughter of H.L. “Buddy” Brandys. It is said that when Buddy passed away, Marilyn took all of the recipes for the filling and icing flavors that were always served with Buddy’s cakes to a meeting of old timers in Briscoe, Texas. This is where she met her husband. It is also said that she learned the art of making wedding cakes from observing her mother-in-law making cakes for other weddings. It is because of this that I think her cakes are so good.

The most reasonable prices for a good-looking, very tasty, professional-looking cake can be had at $2-$3 a slice. The cake we purchased cost $50 for a two-tiered, round cake.

Brandys Cakes was the only vendor my husband and I were able to come to a wedding cake agreement with. He loves cake and I love cake, so it was a simple choice. We were able to get a cake that was almost identical to the one in the picture he showed me, and it turned out great. We were able to get two flavors- vanilla and fudge swirl. The vanilla was delicious and the fudge swirl was good too, but the real winner was the buttercream. They make their own buttercream and it is absolutely amazing. The cake was good, moist, and not overly sweet. Everyone at the wedding raved about how good the cake was. The price was fantastic, much less expensive than any other cake decorator I contacted. The only thing that was an issue was that there were some hiccups with getting the cake delivered on time. It was an hour and a half late, so not good, but the cake was delivered at the end and everything went great. If I remember correctly, the driver just needed directions to get to the venue. My wedding was an outdoor venue and it was a record high temperature the day of my wedding. The cake was in an insulated box and it was to be kept refrigerated. My wedding was in March, and the cake was delicious. It didn’t last until the wedding because we had some left over, but it was still good. I was very impressed with how good the cake was even though it was a warm day. I would definitely recommend this vendor.

We chose Brandys Cakes for our wedding because of the beautiful work that they do and how good their cakes taste. Their cakes look so beautiful and taste delicious. People are still talking about how good our wedding cake tasted. We had a 3 tier cake and each layer was a different flavor. My husband and I chose the layer names as our wedding song and our favorite song to sing in front of the camera. Our wedding song was “Fish in the Sea”, and our favorite song was “Pour Me a Little More Wine”. We wanted a wine barrel cake, and they did just that, but then added our cake toppers on top. Our cake was so beautiful and tasted so good, that we only had one small piece left at the end of the night. I am not a big fan of wedding cake, but this cake was amazing. It was so good, that I ate two pieces at the wedding. Their cakes are so yummy, that I will definately go back and get some more cake for our 1 year anniversary, and I am sure many more special occasions to come. Thank you so much for our beautiful and delicious cake. We are definitely customers for life. :)
